One thing we can all agree on these days is that: 2020 has been ROUGH! So much has been out of our control and learning to navigate new normal has been frustrating, confusing, overwhelming and let’s be honest, a little scary. That said, it’s not too late to see some positive things come out of this year if you choose to invest your energy into the things you can control: your actions and how you care for your body.

2020 has delivered more barriers to healthy living than I think any of us could have imagined. But with a renewed sense of strength and optimism, I’ve decided to take you on a little journey to a great version of you. It might not be easy, but it will be worth it. And it all starts Monday, June 22nd with the “Fit for the 4th” free fitness challenge!

What is the Fit for the 4th Challenge?

It’s primarily a fitness challenge with a hydration component. You’re going to start the challenge with a benchmark test to measure your current full body fitness level. Then you’ll daily workouts varying from strength training to HIIT cardio to build and improve your strength for 2 more weeks. You’ll end on the morning of 4th of July with a final text to see how much you’ve improved! On top of the workouts, we’ll focus on hydration, and aim to drink a gallon of water per day.

Here’s what the weekly workout schedule will look like:

  • Monday: Full body fitness test for time
  • Tuesday: HIIT Cardio
  • Wednesday: Upper Body Strength
  • Thursday: Lower Body Strength
  • Friday: Core
  • Saturday: Steady State Cardio
  • Sunday: Recovery

Why join the Fit for the 4th Challenge?

  1. Because it’s time. 2020 has been hard. You’ve been isolated, stressed, depressed and probably a little lonely. While this is an individual, DIY challenge, we will do it together as a group. While you’ll customize the workouts to your fitness level, we’ll share our results and progress as a team.
  2. This is a fitness challenge, but not a huge time commitment. The workouts are about 10-25 minutes depending on your fitness level.
  3. These workouts are body weight and can be done anywhere, anytime with no equipment, very quickly. And you’ll be sore, which means you’ll get results.
  4. This is a launch pad that can catapult you into a life changing year. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s definitely not to underestimate people, especially ourselves. This can still be, your year.

This is only a 12-day challenge, how can that change my life?

Because this is the first step in a journey that I’d like to take you on that could last through the Fall and leave you with tools and skills to last a lifetime. This event has a focus on fitness and hydration. In July, I’ll coach a 10-day detox program with a heavy nutrition focus to help you identify the best foods for you, We’ll round off with a longer program that solidifies healthy habits that ultimately break the diet cycle and will leave you with the skills to live balanced and healthy from here on out.
